Nearly Three Decades of Experience, with a Vision for the Future

Our professional journey began in 1999 with the establishment of Shakil Bana Engineering & Construction Company in Iran. We later expanded our construction activities to Poland and Bulgaria, with a particular focus on renovation and interior design. Since late 2022, we have continued our professional activities in Vancouver, Canada. Today, ARC focuses on residential and commercial interior renovation and remodeling projects in Vancouver.

Entering the Canadian construction market marked the beginning of a continuous process of learning, adaptation, and professional development for us. Throughout this journey, participating in workshops, specialized courses, and construction industry training programs to become familiar with different systems, products, materials, and construction methods has been an important part of this process.

We consider this training essential for continuous learning and for keeping our knowledge and construction methods up to date with Canadian standards and requirements. We have continuously expanded and updated our knowledge of the BC Building Code, municipal requirements, building regulations and standards, construction methods, and, in particular, the materials and technologies used in British Columbia.

Today, ARC is more than just a renovation company. The combination of architectural knowledge, understanding and expertise in structure and the complete structural aspects of buildings, extensive construction experience, project management, interior design, and practical knowledge of construction requirements and methods enables us to manage projects from planning through execution with a technical, practical, and precise approach.

One of ARC’s founders and directors, Ali, holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architectural Engineering and is a member of the Iranian Construction Engineering Organization. A portion of his documented professional background includes the architectural and structural design of 2,310 residential, commercial, educational, and service units, including several schools, hospitals, banks, gas stations, and similar projects, as well as the complete execution of 83 residential and commercial units.

His additional professional experience includes supervising the construction of thousands of square metres of buildings, architectural design, structural design of concrete buildings of up to ten storeys, management of urban development projects at the provincial level, construction execution, and several years of consulting experience in construction and urban development projects.

The other founder and director of ARC is Homan. With strong motivation and expertise in interior design and furniture, architectural detailing, and building finishing as a whole, he brings a strong “We Can Do It” spirit to our team.

Creativity, attention to detail, and continuous efforts to develop new solutions, which are important elements of ARC’s approach, are among his key characteristics. He also has experience working with several reputable and well-established construction companies in Vancouver.

We currently operate in Vancouver, and our achievable vision is to expand our activities throughout Metro Vancouver. As part of our professional development, and with all the relevant prerequisites in place, all of which have been verified by WES, our future plans include obtaining the P.Eng. designation, professional certification through CACB, obtaining professional qualifications related to technical inspection through BC Housing, and obtaining the PMP designation. The corresponding credentials will soon be featured on this website.
